OnePlue 8T comes with a 6.55inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels at a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch (PPI). The aspect ratio of 20:9.

The AMOLED screen is full of colors and excellent contrast. The display is very bright outdoors, and the flat display has lesser glare under direct indoor-light and out in the sun. The display has an equally balanced color and sharpness and is fast.

Further in OnePlus 7T we get a 6.55-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with a 2,400 x 1,080 Full HD+ resolution. The pixel density is 403 pixels per inch (PPI), and the aspect ratio is 20:9.

OnePlus 7T is also HDR10 and HDR+ compatible, which means we get more color and contrast between white and black background. Clearly it is one of the best display on a smartphone. The display is excellent, delivering excellent color reproduction and brightness.

Processor and storage

The OnePlus 8T packs with Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11 have 2 variants- 256GB storage/12GB Ram and 128GB storage/8gb Ram variant. The OnePlus 8T is relatively faster for anything and everything you daily use thanks to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor. The phone works smoothly, even after running lots of apps and videos simultaneously. With all multitasking the phone maintains its performance and speed.

But we have expected 856 plus, as the OnePlus 8 comes with the same processor, so in terms of power, the OnePlus 8 and 8T are nearly identical.

OnePlus 7T feels very fast and responsive due to the combination of the Snapdragon 855+ processor. The phone is packed with 8GB ram and 3 storage variant 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. OxygenOS 10 ran smoothly; in addition to that, heavy apps and games opened quickly. The phone is meant for massive gamers and works excellent in handling heavy gaming experience without and lags.

Using the phone for various tests, there were no shutter lags. The 7T is fast and performs great in every condition.

Talking about the camera, the OnePlus 8T on the rear packs a quad-cam setup. A 48MP x 16MP x 5MP x 2MP camera along with autofocus.

The camera captures excellent pictures giving punchy colors in most cases. Autofocus works too great and fast. However, there is not much change in OnePlus 8 and 8T cameras.

At the front, we get a 16MP camera for selfies, with an f/2.4 aperture.

OnePlus 7T offers three cameras set up- a standard 48-megapixel one, a 13MP sensor wide-angle one, and a 12MP 2X optical zoom one.

Images are sharp and crisp than ever. However, there is a noticeable difference in the color profiles of the three cameras.

The selfie camera in this device is also perfect. Images are sharp and have the right color composition and even look decent in low-light situations. The 16MP, f/2.0 camera takes better selfies in daylight as well as low light.

Connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.10, USB Type-C, NFC, 3G, 4G and 5G.

So now we have a summary of 5 essential aspects of a phone depending on which we buy the phone. An ideal phone should have a good display, impressive camera, fast processor and longer battery life. These two phones excel in all aspects. In OnePlus 8T vs OnePlus 7T, I think the 8T wins this year because it has many new features as compared to last year’s 7. But if you do not have a heavy budget, then I would recommend buying 7T.

OnePlus 8T

I find this phone the right choice now, but I feel that OnePlus has not implemented much change than 8 and 8Pro versions. The camera great, but we expected something even better than previous phones. It felt like OnePlus held back somewhere and will introduce significant changes in the next line of phones. However, the phone is powerful and can beat many phones in this price range.

OnePlus 7T

The phone is excellent in every term even though it is a year old. The phone has a good display, a better camera, longer battery life, and fast charging, and the most critical value for money. Compare to other phones in this price range; this one is best.
